'The Great Swindle'

Brian here again: I first watched this documentary last week when it aired on Britain's Channel 4, and I just watched it again thanks to the internet. Whether or not the issue of global warming much interests you, it is probably the most significant social and political issue of our day.

I strongly encourage you to watch this documentary: it is incredibly thought-provoking, especially the part at the end that examines the effect of global warming politics on the world's poorest people. Please take the time to watch it, and I'd be interested to know what you think.

That was really good and I am going to pass it along. Thank you. I never knew much about it. The end was especially disturbing.

WOW! what in INTERESTING PERSPECTIVE! i forwarded to the last 10 minutes (after all, it is after 1am for me at the moment) ;) it is really something to consider we're crying out for the environment in africa and other developing countries - while people die or are ill or lacking food and medical care or resources, we are worried more about the environment than saving their lives. we are asking the poorest countries to use the most expensive sources of energy (solar/wind) meanwhile, the countries with the MOST resources use the cheapest, but most environmentally damaging sources of energy (at alarming rates, i might add)... what an interesting idea indeed. sad, really.

This was really good information actually! I amazingly watched the whole thing since my babies are all sick and we are home.

It is indeed very disturbing! We knew that it didn't add up, but it is especially helpful to have the information to back it up. Thanks Brian for putting this out here.
