Picture Post

I haven't taken any pictures of our flat, the campus, or Brighton yet, but here are some other belated photos from our last days in Fort Lauderdale and our first days here.

These photos our from our very last day at home. Yup, I'm still calling it home. Here is me and my Mom at lunch at Big Louie's, and Italian restaurant that Brian and I have eaten at hundreds of times.

Here's our little family sitting on our porch for the last time. Jessie and Peekaboo are enjoying an extended stay with Brian's family.

Here is the whole Douglas clan out in front of our house.

We flew over on Virgin Atlantic, which actually has really great service, but they wouldn't let us take our carseat onboard. Instead they gave us this contraption! It is a SkyCot and it bolts right into the bulkhead. Iain slept well there and seemed comfortable.

Nothing like communication here in the ol' UK. Brian's translation of this sign: Don't do anything. Ever. We actually figured out later that this means no parking. Ok then.

Mr. Iain is a happy camper. He is spending a lot of time in his stroller (or pushchair) these days with his good friend Barky the Dog. Many thanks to Grace for the gift! Iain is a delight and has really made getting to know people easier. Who doesn't love a baby?

Did you bring your dogs with you or is someone dog-sitting for you for an extended period? I haven't ever seen one of those sling-contraption-things, but it looks great... what a good idea! I will e-mail soon. :)

Brian's parents are keeping them for us, which is very nice. Looking forward to your e-mail. :)
